Indian Cancer Society, Mumbai had conducted cancer awareness program in the college on 30.12.2007. Exhibition was also held during the day time.

Mr.R.P.Gokhale
from Indian Cancer Society, his associate Mr.Sawant addressed the students, teaching and non-teaching supporting staff of the college. Audio Video in the form of short films and slide show was effectively used. Prevention of tobacco chewing and cigarette smoking, which otherwise increases the possibility of oral or lung cancer, was effectively impressed upon young students. Methods for earlier detection of breast cancer and other useful information was also given.

The program was conducted with the support of Gharda Foundation and USV Limited. Dr.Milind Gokhale of Gharda Foundation and Mr.Prakash Kale, Manager – HR, USV Limited had taken efforts for the program.

Shri. Meshram Jt. Director, Directorate of Technical Education, (Mumbai region), Maharastra State, Mumbai visited the college on 30-12-2007.

He inspected the facilities, had discussion with the student and expressed satisfaction about the progress of the institute.

"During his address he mentioned the engineering colleges are modern temples of education and learning. He made an appeal to young student to develop "SAMRUDDHA & SUSANSKRUT BHARAT". He mentioned that migration of student from foreign countries to INDIA for higher education will be the indication of Developed India."

Celebration of Institute and Engineer’s Day
Date Sept. 25, 2007

Institute and Engineer’s Day together was celebrated on 25-09-2007. Mr. Shravan Hardikar (Instrumentation Engineer and IAS officer) was chief guest of function and Mr. Shenoy (Gharda Medical, Gharda Chemical Ltd.) was guest of honor. Managing Trusty Dr. Milind Ghokhale guest the occasion.

Anuja Dharia, Anushka Srivastav, Prateek Piplani, Mihir Wadhavkar conducted very interesting interactive session with both guests. Mr. Hardikar inspired students by narrating how he prepared for IAS Examination and advice students to keep higher aims in life. Compute with yourself each day for better result was his wonder piece of advice.

Mr. Shenoy advice students for learning practical significance of theoretical aspects. Prize distribution was done for winners of various games and rangoli competition.

Rangoli Competition

As it was Dr. K.H.Gharda’s birthday Miss. Gaurangi and Miss. Sweety the above rangoli was dedicated to him.
